Don't purchase any products that say Hoodia 20:1 or Hoodia Gordonii 20:1. This product is made from the Chinese cactus, Opuntia Dillenii. There are several products that call themselves Hoodia 20:1 but when tested, were found to be completely free of any hoodia gordonii or the appetite suppressing molecule some call P57.

Check the site for a CITES document. CITES is a UN Watchdog for endangered species, plant and animal. It doesn't have to be current, but just a CITES certificate proves that at least at one time they imported hoodia from South Africa.
Check any site for test results showing the presence of Hoodia Gordonii. There are 3 companies, Flora Research Laboratories, Camag Scientific Inc. and Alkemists Pharmaceuticals, that were involved in writing protocols for Hoodia Gordonii testing in conjunction with the American Herbal Products Association or AHPA.
